Improving access to high-quality education for school-aged children in pastoral and agro-pastoral communities.
The Madda Walabu district and surrounding areas have been affected by prolonged separatist and inter-clan conflict, leaving many children orphaned and/or vulnerable.
In collaboration with the government, community leaders, and donors, WGF has supported 120 children who have been orphaned by conflict, helping them to stay in school and finish a secondary-level education. These children have been equipped with psychosocial support as well as educational materials.
Additionally, WGF has provided computers, printers, and school supplies for many pastoralist community schools and has implemented a variety of school sanitation campaigns and trainings.
