Wako Gutu Foundation (WGF) is a non-governmental development organization committed to supporting pastoralists and agro-pastoralists in the most remote areas of Ethiopia by ensuring that these communities are sufficiently benefiting from the development gains of the country. The foundation was established by pastoral community leaders in the lowland areas of Ethiopia in memory of General Waqo Gutu, a pastoralist elder and advocate who dedicated his life to seeking social and economic justice for pastoralist communities.
